The Men's Guild of Children's Hospital Los Angeles will hold our 13th Annual Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament on March 3, 2018 in Downtown Los Angeles at the USC Tower on South Olive Street. We will have over 200 men that will participate in the Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament / Silent Auction with all proceeds going directly to Children's Hospital Los Angeles. To date we have raised over $1.5MM for the Hospital!
Our Annual Poker Tournament is a fun-filled night with cocktails, live & silent auction, bar games, and poker. All funds raised by the Men’s Guild are contributed to the Associates Rehabilitation Center Caregiver Wing and the Associates Sarcoma Program Chair. The Rehabilitation Medicine Program is a major pediatric referral center for the most complex cases throughout Southern California and the United States. Custom designed treatment, including physical, occupational, speech, respiratory, and psychological therapies are given to each patient recovering from trauma or disease. The Associates Sarcoma Program within Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases is working to improve the outcome for children battling this aggressive form of childhood cancer.
All funds raised by the Men’s Guild are contributed to both The Associates Endowed Chair for the Chief of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center and the Endowment for Liver and Intestinal Research.
The Associates have committed to raising $6 million for an endowed chair for both the Chief of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center and Liver and Intestinal Research. Led by David L. Skaggs, MD, MMM, the Orthopaedic Center uses the most advanced methods to treat a range of conditions, from broken bones to scoliosis, and serves the most vulnerable children in our community. Led by Rohit Kohli, MBBS, MS, the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles takes a comprehensive approach to caring for patients with a variety of intestinal, liver and nutritional disorders. The Division conducts more than 12,000 outpatient visits, and performs more than 1,900 endoscopic procedures and close to 30 lifesaving liver transplants every year.
In recognition of their generous support, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has proudly named the Associates Chair for the Chief of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center and Associates Endowment for Liver and Intestinal Research in perpetuity.
